55 Funny Dark Humor Comics From Single-Panel Cartoonist ‘Nate Fakes’

Nate Fakes is a syndicated cartoonist whose work has appeared in MAD Magazine, New York Times, greeting cards, numerous books, and just about anywhere that appreciates his style.

We love to feature funny comics that have various nuances and styles, but Nate Fakes does something a little different. He uses a single panel to get his joke across and every one of them is a hit in my book. I like to think of it as a one-liner joke you’d hear from a comedian. It’s short, simple, and to the point. But most importantly, it’s funny.

Here are 40 of our favorites from Nate Fakes that we think you’ll enjoy.

Nate

Nate Armbruster

When he's not doomscrolling Twitter or writing for Pleated-Jeans, Nate Armbruster writes jokes—and then tells them on stage as a stand-up comedian, where he can watch audiences (hopefully) laugh in real-time.
