It sounds like the plot of a cheesy ’90s comedy. But it’s 100% true (at least, according to the twins it is).
Ariane and Noémi, known as the @chance_twins on TikTok, recently found themselves in hot water after attempting to pull off a classic twin switch at work.

Ariane had her vacation request denied, so she hatched a plan: her identical twin sister Noémi would cover her shift. The twins documented the swap on TikTok, with Noémi heading to Ariane’s workplace while Ariane enjoyed her vacation.
Things seemed to go smoothly until their boss stumbled upon the viral TikTok video showcasing the ruse.
This TikToker tried to have her identical twin sister “replace” her at work while she went on vacation
In the video, Noémi can be seen driving to work with the caption, “Me replacing my twin at work while she’s on a trip because her leave request got denied.”
The boss was not amused and sent a stern email to Ariane.
“I am utterly appalled by the recent TikTok video that has come to my attention, featuring what appears to be you shamelessly flaunting your disregard for company policies and responsibilities,” the boss wrote.
“Your decision to enlist your twin sister as a substitute while you gallivant off on vacation after your leave request was denied is completely unacceptable.
“It’s a slap in the face to both your colleagues who abide by the rules and the company that entrusts you with responsibilities.”
The boss discovered the TikTok documenting the ruse and was none too pleased, writing her an angry email
The email continues:
“This level of disregard for protocol and decorum is frankly shocking and will not be tolerated.
“I demand an immediate explanation for your behavior, as well as a plan of action to rectify this situation.
“Furthermore, I expect a sincere apology for the embarrassment and disruption you have caused.”
The angry letter goes on:
“Consider this a formal warning. Any further instances of misconduct will result in serious consequences, including potential disciplinary action.”
The boss’s closing remark, “disappointed regards,” became a meme itself, with viewers finding humor in the overly formal tone of the reprimand.

The clips quickly went viral, attracting thousands of comments. Though some doubt the video’s authenticity
Some viewers speculated that the swap and the email were all part of a ploy to gain more followers.
Others shared similar stories of twin antics and debated whether the twins’ actions were ingenious or foolish.
