Recruiter Asks Job Candidate To Complete Free, Unpaid Work During Interview

Job interviews are getting completely out of hand.

Once a job candidate manages to punch in the right keywords for a recruiting algorithm to pick them up, they are immediately thrust into a long and arduous interview process pulled straight from a Kafka short story.

We’re talking ridiculous 10-round interview sessions where a candidate meets with every branch of the company. On top of the normal interview prep, candidates are typically required to complete lengthy homework assignments as well as personality and IQ tests.

All this just to get ghosted on round 8.

It’s absurd and unfair. And quite frankly, it should be illegal for a company to force desperate candidates to pour hours of unpaid labor into a job they don’t even have.

This Reddit user was sick of the games. And they had the perfect response when asked by a recruiter to complete company work for zero pay.
