A new TikTok has viewers furrowing their brows.
The viral video has sparked heated debate after a dermatologist was seen injecting Botox into her daughter’s face while sitting in a parked car.
The video, shared on TikTok by user @mommymomentss, showed the daughter flinching and jokingly complaining about the painful needle, while her mother continued administering the injections.
The clip, which quickly gained over a million views, showcased the unconventional setting for the procedure—leading many viewers to express concern and confusion.

Reactions to the video were mixed. Some commenters were envious of the convenience and free access to Botox, with one person humorously asking, “Can she adopt me?”
Others found the scene unsettling, particularly because the mother, identified as Dr. Josiane Lederman, performed the injection without gloves.
Another dermatologist weighed in, assuring viewers the on-the-go Botox injection was perfectly sanitary
Despite this, dermatologists like Dr. Jody Levine, who weighed in on the controversy, noted that while gloves are preferable, it’s not a major issue as long as proper hygiene is maintained.
“Realistically, there are some benefits to your mom being a dermatologist, and getting Botox when it’s convenient is one of those benefits!” she told Bored Panda.
She continued: “Hopefully, the mom cleaned her own hands and her daughter’s skin properly before injecting, since putting a needle in the skin does require proper cleansing before and after.
“And, of course, it is good to practice good habits and always wear gloves, but I don’t have a problem with a mother injecting her daughter without gloves, as long as the mother’s hands are clean, and the face is clean.”
This isn’t the first time a mother-daughter Botox injection has caused controversy
The incident recalls earlier, more extreme cases, like that of Kerry Campbell, a mother who faced intense backlash for injecting her eight-year-old daughter with Botox for beauty pageants.
Campbell’s actions led to an investigation by child protective services in San Francisco, with experts condemning the procedure as both physically and psychologically harmful for children, according to HeraldNet.com.
In contrast, the car Botox video didn’t provoke the same level of outrage, likely due to the adult daughter’s consent and the humorous tone of the TikTok. Still, it highlights ongoing debates about cosmetic procedures and boundaries within family dynamics.
