25 “Lifetime Supply” Winners Share Their Stories, From Thrilled To Regretful

I don’t remember how or why he did it, but in the early 2000s my dad won a “lifetime supply” of Snickers Cruncher bars — a short-lived iteration of Snickers with crispy rice and peanuts that didn’t taste all that much like a Snickers.

The “lifetime supply” promise was a stretch — we received half a dozen big boxes of the things. Which probably amounted to a year’s worth if you ate them regularly. Problem was that nobody in my family liked them, so they just sat in our basement for years.

I don’t remember what we ended up doing with them all. I think we gave them away to friends, family, and trick-or-treaters piece by piece until they were gone.

There are currently small movements online to bring the Snickers Cruncher back and I wonder if we could have sold them today for a hefty mark-up — stale as they would be.

Other “lifetime supply” winners have taken to Reddit to share their stories of winning a whole lot of one thing. The tales range from thrilled to full of regret.
