Drake has filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG), claiming defamation and arguing that the music giant could have halted Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us,” which accused Drake of being a pedophile.
The beef between the two rappers started back in 2012, when Kendrick featured on the Big Sean track “Control” and tore into several hip-hop artists, including Drake.
The two exchanged shots back and forth for years afterward but things came to a head in 2024 with the release of “Not Like Us.”
Now, as Drake takes the beef out of the studio and into the courtroom, people are mocking him on Twitter and calling the lawsuit, essentially, a coward’s way out. To make matters worse for Drake, many legal experts say the lawsuit carries no water.
