Using a mastery of metal art and design, Jinil Park’s “Drawing Series” displays functional furniture with hand-drawn vibes.
These pieces look like they were plucked right out of a whimsical cartoon and dropped straight into the real world. At first glance, they seem like 2D line drawings, but the moment you realize they’re fully functional furniture, it’s like your brain short-circuits in the best way possible. Park creates this stunning effect by shaping steel wires of different thicknesses and meticulously hammering and welding them together to craft sturdy and deceptively lightweight furniture.
