The past few days have seen the internet flung into a heated debate—one that has everybody weighing in with their take on the pressing issue.
I’m not talking about climate change or inflation or whether penguins are real (they’re not).
I’m talking, of course, about the controversial question:
Could 100 men defeat one gorilla in a fight?
There are a few caveats. No, the humans can’t use weapons. And each human is in solid physical condition with a presumed average to slightly-above-average strength.
The debate has been raging across the internet with neither side willing to budge.
But finally, we may have the closest thing we’ll get to a definitive answer.
A monkey scientist — as in, a human who studies monkeys, not a monkey who studies science (I know, I’m disappointed, too) — has shared his answer in a viral Twitter thread.
Keep going for his well-thought explanation sure to silence even your most stubborn friends… well, probably not.
1. It all started when Twitter user @DreamChasnMike argued 100 humans could beat a gorilla if they were committed to the task, which quickly went viral and set off a chain of hot takes and spicy memes
