I’m always on the hunt for great cartoonists—scrolling, clicking, occasionally spiraling—and every now and then, I stumble onto someone who makes me stop mid-scroll and say, “Okay, that’s good.” That’s exactly what happened with Joe Dator.
His comics are smart, dark, weird, and exactly the kind of single-panel brilliance I love. He’s a New Yorker cartoonist, which means he’s already made it to the cartoon Olympics, but his stuff also hits that sweet spot of “clever chuckle” and “wait, did he really just say that?”
