Growing up in the ‘90s felt like living in a time that somehow had less going on and way more personality. You had to blow on video game cartridges to make them work. You had to actually wait for your favorite show to come on. And if someone called your house phone while you were online, it was over for both of you.
Was it better? Who knows. But it was definitely a vibe—and one that still hits harder than it should when you see a Blockbuster carpet pattern or hear a dial-up tone.
These ‘90s memes are like a warm hug from a simpler time. Or at least a time before you needed five streaming passwords just to watch The X-Files.
