If you’re like me and grew up loving The Far Side, then you’re going to appreciate the brilliance of Dave Blazek. His single-panel comics (Loose Part Comics) are packed with that same kind of wonderfully weird energy—offbeat setups, unexpected punchlines, and characters that always seem two steps removed from reality—but he brings his own unique twist to every joke.
Blazek’s comics feel like stepping into a parallel universe where logic exists, but it’s got a sense of humor and zero social filter. I’ve pulled together some of my favorite hilariously absurd panels from his work—they’re smart, surreal, and just the right amount of unhinged.
