I know I’m in the minority here, but I like licorice. I even like black licorice. It’s probably because the only candy my grandpa kept in the house were these ancient little things called licorice buttons.
Which, now that I’m thinking about it, might have actually been decorative buttons he mistook for candy. They were so rock-hard you had to suck on them for 30 minutes before your teeth had a fighting chance. But hey, it built character.
