30 Hilarious Kitchen Design Fails From People Who Should Really Fire Their Designer

I cover a lot of design fails here, and being an architect, I see them IRL as well—which is maybe why kitchen disasters hit me so hard. It’s the one room people really care about, the one they insist on “opening up” or “making modern,” and somehow they still end up with things like cabinets that don’t open, stoves in corners, or sinks with zero counter space.

At a certain point, you stop asking “What were they thinking?” and start wondering if they were thinking at all.

These are some of the worst kitchen design choices I’ve seen—sent in from the wild, passed down in Facebook groups, or discovered when someone finally decided to remodel and said “Wait… what is this even supposed to be?” If your kitchen layout has ever made you question reality, you’re not alone.
