I like my comics like I like my coffee. Dark, bold, and a feeling like I was just slapped in the face. A good comic should jolt me awake.
Sara Lautman knows what’s up. She manages to make her comics take a turn without feeling forced. There are lots of “edgy” comics out there that just say something crazy without remembering to also be funny. These manage to do both.
