Every now and then, something small will trigger a full-blown millennial flashback. Like I’ll hear the AOL dial-up tone in a TikTok and instantly be transported to a time when I had to ask my mom to get off the phone so I could check AIM.
It’s wild how many things felt completely normal growing up that now seem borderline prehistoric. We used phone books. We printed out MapQuest directions. We watched the same five DVDs over and over again because streaming didn’t exist. And don’t even get me started on the pencil sharpeners bolted to the classroom wall.
This Reddit thread hit that exact nostalgic nerve. Millennials chimed in with things that were once part of daily life and now feel hilariously outdated or just plain weird.
