I’m what’s known as an extroverted introvert. My default setting is introvert, but I can turn on an extroverted side in short bursts or controlled settings. However, given a choice I’ll choose staying in and not talking to anyone 10 out of 10 times. Alone time is important.
Having to go somewhere there’s a lot of people and you’re expected to mingle is hell to an introvert, but all of us are expected to do it from time to time. That’s why at any party you find the introvert sitting in the corner with the dog. Dogs don’t judge. Dogs don’t talk.
