Entitled Neighbor Borrows A Bunch Of Stuff Without Returning It, Now Wants Her Groceries Paid For

Most people want to be the kind of neighbor who helps out when someone’s in a pinch.

But what happens when being helpful turns into being taken for granted?

That’s the situation one woman on Reddit (@Wildthings501) found herself in after months of lending out everything from tools to her Wi-Fi password to a neighbor who never quite returned the favor—or the items.

So when she ran into that same neighbor at the grocery store, mid-checkout with no wallet and a cart full of pricey snacks and beer, the request for a financial favor didn’t exactly go down smoothly.

She offered a compromise. The neighbor didn’t take it well.

Now, there’s tension in the hallway and whispers of being “stingy” from other residents.

Was it the right move to draw the line? Or should she have just picked up the tab and hoped for karma to sort it out?

Internet judges, assemble.
