15 Funniest Memes About All The Lead In Protein Powder
As a guy who hits the gym regularly but sticks to getting my protein from actual food instead of mystery powders, I feel extremely vindicated right now.
Consumer Reports just dropped a bombshell revealing that several popular protein powders contain traces of toxic metal—yep, lead. The internet, of course, reacted the only way it knows how: with memes, jokes, and a collective “bro, what?”
According to the report’s author, Paris Martineau, lab tests on more than 60 “leading protein supplements” showed lead levels higher than what experts consider safe. The CDC reminds us there’s really no such thing as a safe amount of lead exposure—it’s linked to brain damage and developmental delays—so maybe it’s time to rethink that daily scoop of chocolate “gains powder.”
