The desert is one of those places that feels like it shouldn’t have anything in it and then somehow has everything in it.
Like, it’s sand. For miles. And yet people keep finding entire shipwrecks out there, and old cars, and things that have no business being that far from civilization. I think about the desert the way I think about my junk drawer — it looks empty until you actually start digging around and then suddenly there’s stuff in there you forgot existed and stuff you can’t explain at all.
