Home Depot Employee Retiring After 27 Year Receives A Snickers Bar And Oreos As His Only Retirement Gift

They say no one wants to work anymore, but corporations seem to care less and less about their employees so that shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone.

In this Reddit post a son shares the story of his dad retiring from a 27 year career at Home Depot only to find that his only retirement gift from management is a Snickers bar and a small pack of Oreos.

I’m not saying he should’ve gotten a gold watch or hefty bonus, but giving someone who dedicated a quarter of their life to working for you $5 worth of snacks on their way out is a slap in the face.
