Remote Employee Refuses To Decorate Her Home Office, Boss Says She’s “Ruining The Holiday Spirit”

One of the greatest benefits to being a remote employee is no one can tell you what to do with your own space. If I want to have several snacks on my desk and work in my underwear, that’s my business.

Well, this remote worker is having a problem with her boss wanting to play a Christmas game where everyone decorates their home office, sends a picture, and coworker shave to guess whose office is which.

Seems like a harmless enough game, but when this employee mentioned she doesn’t decorate for Christmas and doesn’t plan to, her boss told her she’s ruining the holiday spirit. (sad trombone noise)
