Ok, so the holidays are over. Phew. We kind of survived.
But, two weeks of kids home from school, family visiting, schedules completely destroyed, sugar intake at catastrophic levels. Nobody slept right, everyone fought over toys, and at some point I’m pretty sure I just sat in the garage for twenty minutes staring at nothing because it was the only quiet place left.
Now we’re back to the regular chaos. School drop-offs, homework battles, bedtime negotiations that somehow take an hour. It’s not better, it’s just familiar. The kind of exhausting you’re used to instead of the kind that makes you question every life choice you’ve ever made.
