The 90s operated on a completely different set of social rules and somehow we all just went along with it. There was stuff we did every day that would get you arrested now, but back then? Totally fine. Normal, even.

I think about this more than I should—how we just accepted things that make zero sense looking back. Calling your friend’s house for no reason other than to just talk for a while. Smoking sections in restaurants like the smoke just stopped at an invisible line. Having no idea where your kids were. It wasn’t that long ago but it feels like a different civilization.
