I grew up in California and moved to Chicago about 5 years ago. The biggest adjustment for me is dealing with winter.
The Midwest winters are no joke. No only do I have to bundle up, but my poor dog has to as well. Everything from a puffer coat, to ear warmers, and down to her little boots.
