The 2026 Winter Olympics are happening right now, and curling has once again become the most exciting sport (every four years this happens). We’re all watching people slide rocks and sweep ice, pretending we understand the strategy.
I thought it’d be fun to look back at vintage curling photos to see what the sport used to look like and how it’s evolved. These old school photos show the sport’s history. How equipment changed, how uniforms evolved, and how curling went from a winter pastime to an Olympic competition.
