Anytime I visit a new city, I make it a point to wander around and check out the local street art.
There’s something special about art that lives out in the open, surprising people who weren’t even looking for it.
That’s probably why the work of Julian Beever always blows my mind. His sidewalk drawings might look flat and strange from most angles, but step into the right spot and suddenly the illusion snaps into place, turning the pavement into something unreal.
