I read comics constantly and even make a few of my own, so I’ve developed a real appreciation for artists who can land a joke in a single panel. It’s not easy.
And when someone manages to do it with dark humor that still somehow makes you laugh instead of just feel bad? That’s a real skill.
That’s exactly what Miles The New Kid does with the My Gums Are Bleeding comic. The jokes are twisted, a little uncomfortable, and perfectly timed in that way that makes you laugh first and then wonder if you should feel guilty about it.
