I went to college for design, and one lesson they drilled into our heads over and over was that good design has to balance form and function.

Sure, something can look cool, but if it doesn’t actually work for the people using it, you’ve missed the whole point. The best designs make life easier without you even thinking about it.

Unfortunately, not everyone got that memo. Some designers get so caught up chasing a bold idea or a flashy aesthetic that they forget the basic part where the thing has to, you know… function.

The result is designs that aren’t just confusing—they’re actively annoying, and sometimes even a little dangerous.
