Guy On Threads Gets Brutally Roasted After Asking Why Maps Lie About Country Sizes (31 Pics)

Not to brag, but I passed geography in Jr. High. I sat through the classes, memorized the capitals, and did the whole thing. But nobody once told me Africa is wider than Russia looks on every map we’ve ever seen. We just all agreed to stare at the same distorted picture of the world and move on. Turns out you literally cannot flatten a sphere without something getting warped.

That’s not a conspiracy, that’s just math. So when Ken Mack posted this on Threads and asked the internet to explain it like a ten-year-old, I expected dry Wikipedia answers. Instead, people got creative, funny, and surprisingly clarifying.
