73 Weird And Wonderful Secondhand Finds That Are Pure Thrift Store Gold

If you love the thrill of thrifting, good, so do I.

Not to brag, but I found my favorite bedazzled jean vest at a secondhand store. (Yes, that’s me below)

But these people, they really hit the secondhand jackpot:

1. “Pressure cooker i saw today at a goodwill in Pa”

2. “Today’s marketplace find! A Randy Savage Slim Jim store display/holder. I had to make a trip to Walmart to snag a new Savage Slim Jim for it.”

3. “Definitely the most unexpected thing I’ve ever found at a thrift store: a 1970s McDonald’s rolling high chair.”

4. “Only $2.49 and I already regret leaving it there.”

5. “I cannot stop laughing. I got this thing at Opp Shop for 25 cents and decided it’s the perfect night guard holder. Supposedly it’s made for milk and cookies or tea bags.”

7. “I showed these to my sister, and she yelled, ‘JOOTS!’ Found (and left) at Goodwill.”

I walked away from this several times but kept going back to it. I couldn’t stop thinking about the person who collected all these matchbooks, leaving behind a road map of what appears to have been a very fun life in this jar.

There are old matchbooks and newer ones, but all of them are very cool. Someone needed to appreciate this collection, and I’m so glad I get to be that person.”

64. “Found a $20k range at local thrift store”

“Found this Thermador at a local thrift store and took a chance on it. According to the workers they picked it up from a house locally in a very wealthy area and the people were ‘upgrading’ and just donated this.

This was by far my most expensive thrift store purchases and I am aware its a gamble but it did come with a 30 day warranty; plus even if it has issues it was 95% off from its original price of almost $20k and luckily I’m handy so I should be able to fix any potential issues (fingers crossed).

I took the gamble because I have always wanted a really high end range for my kitchen however I could never spend or justify spending crazy stupid money on one.

While $1000 isn’t cheap it’s certainly better than $20k. Additionally it was extremely clean and appears to have been well taken care of.”

Until there it was… the only thing on the bottom shelf of a cart they were rolling out as I was walking out the door. The white whale I’d given up on years ago. A Le Creuset 7.25 ounce Dutch Oven.

The odds that someone didn’t realize what they were giving away AND a second person didn’t realize what they’d been given before it made its way to me seem almost impossible to believe. I’ve never taken such absolute pleasure in cleaning the grease off of a pot.”
