I Wrote A Funny Tweet About Cats And Coyotes That Somehow Turned Into A Widely Used Joke Template
I wrote a dumb tweet on Twitter years ago and then moved on with my life like a normal person. Or at least I thought I did.
Every now and then it would pop back up, someone retweeting it, someone quoting it, the usual internet afterlife stuff.
But somewhere along the way, it stopped being my joke and turned into… a format. Now people are plugging in their own versions, remixing it, and using it as shorthand for someone being wildly thoughtless without realizing it.
Which is already surreal enough. But the truly bizarre part is how many people take it completely seriously and get genuinely mad about it, as if I was out there personally running a coyote buffet.
