I grew up before smartphones and constant screens, which means boredom looked a lot different back then. Or honestly, it didn’t even feel like boredom most of the time. You just… figured something out. Went outside, made something up, bothered your friends, got creative out of necessity.
As an elder millennial, I really think that’s why my imagination works the way it does now. We had to entertain ourselves, and we got pretty good at it.
