Neurodivergent Folks Are Sharing The Humiliation Rituals They’re Expected To Accept As “Normal”
I’ve always had a hard time socializing with people I don’t know well. It’s not that I don’t want to connect, it’s just that a lot of what’s considered “normal” social behavior feels confusing, exhausting, or just completely unnatural to me.
That’s why a thread like this hits so hard. So many of these so-called “normal” expectations feel less like casual interactions and more like weird little rituals everyone is just expected to go along with without question.
Seeing other neurodivergent people put it into words like this is equal parts validating and, honestly, kind of funny.
