“Please Don’t Make Me Go Hiking, I’ve Done Nothing Wrong” — 22 Hiking Tweets
Hiking isn’t for everyone, but we all find ourselves on a trail eventually.
Let me be clear about something. I like hiking. I do. I own the boots, I’ve got the water bottle with the carabiner clipped to the bag, I have the whole look. It’s just that certain conditions need to be met.
The temperature should be comfortable. The bugs should be somewhere else. The trail should be, at most, a gentle slope that a golden retriever could handle without breaking stride. Basically, I’m describing a walk in the park. Possibly an actual park.
The tweets in this collection speak to both kinds of people. There’s my crowd, the sensible ones who see a steep incline and immediately start negotiating with themselves about turning back. And then there are the other people. The ones who genuinely love the heat, the hills, the swarms of insects, all of it. I will never understand them. But I do admire the dedication.
