I’ve been on this site for over a decade now, which means I’ve watched it change names, owners, algorithms, and entire vibes more times than I can count.
And through all of it, one thing has stayed true: half the time, the actual tweet is just the setup. The punchline is sitting six replies deep, posted by some account with 200 followers and a cartoon frog avatar, and it’s funnier than anything that’ll ever go viral on its own.
That’s the part people sleep on. Everybody chases the perfect original post, but the real comedy is in the reply guys, the quote tweets that completely flip the meaning, the one person in the comments who said the thing everyone was thinking but funnier.
