32 Clever Forced Perspective Photos By Hugo Suíssas That Turn Everyday Objects Into Landmarks
I don’t know anything about photography or art in any technical sense. I couldn’t tell you what makes a composition good or explain what a photographer is actually doing when they talk about light. What I do know is that I was scrolling through these at like 11pm and kept stopping to figure out what I was actually looking at.
Hugo Suíssas holds everyday objects up to the camera at just the right angle so they appear to merge with whatever’s behind them. A tape measure becomes a bridge. A wristwatch towers over a field. A fishing reel spans an entire highway overpass. There’s no trick to it beyond patience and a good eye, which somehow makes it more impressive than if there were.
