80 Photos That Will Put Your Megalophobia To The Test
I have a touch of megalophobia and I didn’t realize it until I went to Muir Woods. You think you know what a big tree looks like and then you’re standing at the base of one that’s been alive for a thousand years and something just shifts. It’s not fear exactly, more like being stunned be the realization of how small you are.
My wife thought it was funny. I stood there longer than everyone else trying to figure out what I was feeling. There’s something about things being bigger than you expect that just doesn’t sit right, and once you notice it you start seeing it everywhere.
This whole batch from r/megalaphobia is that feeling. These photos will make you feel very, very small.
