Avocados are expensive, and they have maybe a four-hour window where they’re actually ready to use. You buy one on Sunday with good intentions and then check it Monday, still rock hard. Then you check it Tuesday morning, getting there, and then you get busy and come back to it Tuesday night, and it’s already brown and sad, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
