Animals have a real gift for turning a completely normal moment into something ridiculous without even trying. Everything’s calm, everything’s fine, and then suddenly there’s a bird casually parked in a bowl of avocados like that’s just where it lives now, or a dog staring back at you with an expression that says it just woke up from the strangest nap of its entire life.
