Ever heard the phrase “beggars can’t be choosers”? These people never got the memo. Over on r/ChoosingBeggars, people share their most infuriating run-ins with buyers and freeloaders who expect to walk away with something for nothing. Anyone who’s ever tried selling something on OfferUp or Craigslist already knows the type.
The worst ones don’t even offer cash, they offer a trade instead, some random item they’ve decided is a fair swap for whatever you’re actually selling. No idea why someone thinks a fake Rolex is a reasonable trade for a used car, but here we are.
People are strange, and these show it better than anything.

A please or thank you, or even ‘anything you’re able to spare is appreciated’ would’ve gone a long way.”

“$25 tip on $250 Costco order. Nothing oversize or heavy in order of about 15 items, Costco like 2mi away. It’s colder than usual, but not single digits (and it’s Chicago in winter), roads have been clear for a week.
We’ve had tip set at same percent since early days of COVID and never had an issue/complaint over probably 300 Instacart orders.”
