“Hamburger Day At The Shelter” — 33 Pics Of Dogs Taking The Best Bite Of Their Lives
There’s a Facebook post from the Humane Society of Lebanon County that’s been living in my head since I first saw it, “hamburger day at the shelter,” donated in memory of a previous adopter on what would’ve been his 55th birthday, because that’s exactly the kind of thing he would’ve loved to do for the dogs. And the photos that came out of it are just pure, uncomplicated joy, dogs mid-bite with their eyes wide open like they can’t quite believe their luck.
That same energy shows up across each pic, shelter dogs catching the best possible bite of something they clearly weren’t expecting. I’d react the same way. This might be the single greatest moment of their entire day.
