This Street Artist Turns Random City Corners Into Pixel Art Mario Crossovers (40 Pics)
I’ve always had a soft spot for pixel art, there’s something about that chunky, low-res style that just works for me no matter what it’s actually depicting. Mario obviously needs no introduction either.
Put the two together and somehow I never once thought “we need Mario crossover pixel mosaics scattered around random cities.” But now that it exists, I’m glad someone thought of it first.
French street artist IN THE WOUP creates them through his ongoing Mario Worldz Project. He blends Mario with everything from video games to movies to pop culture icons. Then he installs the mosaics in public spaces, so people stumble onto them completely by accident.
