40 “Expectation Vs. Reality” Architecture Fails That’ll Make You Laugh And Wince
Architecture is so cool. I took the famous architecture tour in Chicago this summer and was completely blown away by the history, learning exactly what went into building these historic structures that are still standing strong over 100 years later. They had to get it right the first time, there wasn’t much room for error back then, no undo button, no quick fix once the concrete was poured.
Sometimes though, even now, the design doesn’t quite match the finished building, a classic case of expectation vs. reality. And sometimes when that happens, it’s funny.
