I’ve always wondered who decided women’s razors needed to be pink and cost three dollars more. Apparently, adding the word “women” to a product is enough to turn it into a luxury item.

The woman tax goes well beyond the bathroom aisle, too. Women regularly get charged more for haircuts, clothing, dry cleaning, personal care products, and services that are basically identical to what men receive. Sometimes the only noticeable difference is the packaging.
