30 Times Kids Forgot What Something Was Called And Invented A Better Name
Kids don’t always know the correct name for something, but that has never stopped them from confidently coming up with a better one. Adults make naming things way too complicated. We hold meetings, create focus groups, and end up calling a website something like Quibi. A four-year-old looks at mist, calls it “water dust,” and immediately improves the English language.
These parents shared the funny alternative names their kids invented for everyday foods, objects, movies, and everything else. Some are adorable mispronunciations, while others make so much sense that the original name now feels wrong.
I’m personally ready to start calling penguins “cold owls.” The kid has a point.
