Mitch McConnell Returned To The Senate, And The Internet Had Jokes (30 Memes)
Mitch McConnell returned to the Senate this week after three months away, and I can’t help but wonder why Congress keeps treating retirement like a threat to national security.
McConnell is 84. At that age, most people have earned the right to sit in the comfortable chair at Thanksgiving and leave before pretending to offer to help with the dishes. Instead, he’s heading back to vote on legislation that’ll affect people who weren’t born when he first took office.
McConnell’s first public appearance in months gave everyone a fresh video to work with, and the internet wasted no time, because as you can see below, he doesn’t exactly look sharp.
