30 Once-Affordable Hobbies People Say Have Become Too Expensive
I’m in my mid-thirties, which is an age when I’m constantly considering new hobbies. This is what happens when going to a loud bar stops sounding like a good time.
The main things keeping me from picking one up are time and money. Some of my friends play golf or collect video games, and whenever I hear what they spend, I’m like, “Are you secretly rich?” How do people afford to do these things so often? Golf requires clubs, fees, and several hours of pretending you meant to hit the ball that direction. At least video games can be enjoyed from your own couch, where the snacks are reasonably priced.
