26 Unhinged Nextdoor Posts That Made The Neighborhood Everyone’s Business
I downloaded Nextdoor because it seemed like a useful way to find out why a helicopter was circling my neighborhood. Maybe I’d get a heads-up about a lost dog. Normal neighbor stuff.
I did get the occasional useful update. I also learned that some people have very strong (and sometimes unhinged) feelings about what happens on their street, and they’d like everyone within a five-mile radius to hear about it. A minor inconvenience gets a public announcement, and sometimes the replies are even better than the original post.
I should probably turn off the notifications, but I’d hate to miss whatever my neighbors decide to discuss next. These Nextdoor posts are a good reminder that the most entertaining thing nearby might be the people posting about it.
