30 Photos With People For Scale That Show Just How Huge Things Really Are
I’m not good at guessing measurements. I’m 6’1″, and that’s all I’m able to use to picture how tall something is. I was looking out my window, estimating how many of me it would take to reach the height of our window. Four. The answer is four.
I don’t know if that’s useful information to anyone else, but it worked for me. If someone asks for the measurements, I’ll have to explain that I’ve switched to a system based entirely on myself.
Sometimes a human is the only comparison that really shows the scale of things. These photos make a lot more sense once you notice the person standing there. Although now I’m wondering how tall each of those people is. I may need to stand next to them.
