30 Screenshots Of People Getting Caught Lying Or Being Confidently Wrong

I don’t have the memory to be a good liar. I hardly remember what I did yesterday, so keeping track of a lie sounds like a lot of work. Being confidently wrong, though? Unfortunately, that comes pretty naturally. I’ve definitely started a sentence with “I’m pretty sure” and realized halfway through that I’m not really sure.

The internet makes both situations considerably more embarrassing. You can post something and feel good about it for approximately eight seconds before someone shows up with an old screenshot or a basic fact.

These people got caught lying or being confidently wrong, and the replies corrected them. A little uncertainty would’ve saved everyone some trouble.
